Annual Meeting Recap — May 19, 2026

The Trustees of the Weston Roads Trust held the 2026 Annual Beneficiary Meeting on the evening of May 19, 2026 at the Weston Golf Club, with a virtual option provided via Zoom. We thank everyone who joined us in person and online for their engagement and thoughtful questions.
With a narrative presentation and detailed supporting slides, the meeting covered an introduction of the current Board of Trustees, a financial update, the Board’s goals and priorities for the year ahead, and an open question-and-answer session. In brief:
• Board of Trustees. The Trust is governed by five Trustees, all seats now filled. Over the past year the Board engaged professional accounting support, established a working budget, and improved communication through the Trust website, a shared call line, and the return of an annual meeting.
• Financial update. The Trust has operated near break-even for several years with no meaningful cash reserves. Current dues are sufficient to cover routine operations and to begin slowly rebuilding reserves; major capital projects will require a multi-year financial plan. Non-payment of assessments remains the single largest obstacle to proper road maintenance, and the Board is reviewing the enforcement tools available under the Trust’s governing documents.
• Goals and priorities. The Board outlined three priorities for the year ahead: commissioning a comprehensive roads and drainage survey to anchor a long-term capital plan; evaluating the Trust’s nearly 100-year-old governing documents with legal counsel; and continuing transparent, frequent communication with beneficiaries.
• Questions and answers. Beneficiaries raised questions on topics including the assessment rate, payment options, commercial property assessments, Trust boundaries, and long-term funding options. The Board’s responses are reflected in the full meeting materials.
